... it´s so nice to view them and know you and your dear family spent some great holiday days!
It also brought me some beautiful memories of my own visit to Deauville, a few years ago.
You know, It was some kind of dream for me, as I had always kept in my mind and heart those beautifuil scenes filmed there by Claude Lelouch in the mid 1960´s for his movie "Un Homme et une Femme" (A Man and a Woman), which as you know, was filmed at the wooden rambla, beach, etc.
That film was a blockbuster in times I was a young lad, and was my favorite film.
How could I forget those beautiful and romantic scenes at the beach, with Jean L Trintingnant getting in love with Anouk Aimee, or driving his 1964 Ford Mustang on the beach sand!
Not to mention the beautiful sound track by Francis Lai!
Deauville is a beautiful and charming place with a most romantic feeling.
I can also remember some good restaurants, a cute Sunday town fair, a little nice cutlery shop, and the thrill of discovering a small wall plaque remembering the Lelouch picture was filmed there!
Thank you for sharing these pictures, and so happy to know everyone of your family enjoyed the stay!
Un abrazo afectuoso,
desde unas muy humedas Pampas!
Abel.
