Hi All
I was on a trip to London this weekend - and as I normally do I do a trawl of the various watch shops. If you know London you know where they are all concentrated. I was really not in the place to go buying - but looking is very much part of the hunt. I didn't buy, but did see a couple of fabulous Reversos that were created to celebrate its 60th Aniversary. Both out of my price range - one by a largish amount and the other by a huge amount. Means I need to win the lottery rapidly.
Well what were they?
The first was the 60eme A fantastic detailed dial and the first or one of the first complicated Reverso's in a GT case. The colour of the case was really warm and mellow and gave it almost a vintage feel.
The other - which I've said before is probably my grail watch - was the Reverso minute repeater, wonderfully elegant and subdued. Again in the wonderfully glowing rose gold. Unfortunately didn't get a chance to get the repeater to play - but it was still good to look and wear (if only briefly) two of what I consider to a great limited edition series.
Once again it highlighted the perfection of the size of a GT case - big enough not to look small on ones wrist, but at the same time able to house interesting complications.
Apologies for the lack of pictures - but I hadn't planned to find such great pieces and would have felt reticent about taking pictures in any case.
Cheers
JML
