We always criticize trains when they are late.
It is good to say your satisfaction when all comes to perfection.
And most of the time, like trains on time, a watch is well serviced.

in Switzerland ( I wish I could have gone too...). Therefore I will be in a position to evaluate the whole process as well.
You said that you took your decision in April. At which date have you effectively brought it over to be shipped in Switzerland?

Yves
Hi there,
I first shipped my watch to the Richemont US Technical Center in Fort Worth, Texas around mid-March for an evaluation and estimate of costs. They mailed me the paperwork detailing the repairs and services needed in early April, which I sent back with my authorization to carry out the work. They informed me over the phone that my watch could only be worked on in Le Sentier and as soon as they received my authorization, I was told shortly thereafter that my watch had been shipped there. Thus, my watch was in Switzerland from around late-April until about mid-June when they let me know that it was shipped back to the Richemont US Technical Center for further quality control tests which lasted about three weeks and then the watch was ready to go.
All the best with your NSA service; I hope everything goes well! Is it being sent in for a repair or routine maintenance?
This message has been edited by HR F1 on 2012-07-17 17:26:33the Manufacture for a little bit of both actually:
1- The bezel turns too easily, does not have the crisp click that one would expect.
2- At the begining my timepiece would be 6 seconds too fast, on an average daily basis. For the past recent months it would be a daily average of 15 seconds too fast.
I was surprised that they shipped it to Switzerland because originally the AD told me that this would be a minor fix and the local service office would do it in a snap. I certainly did not anticipate to lose my NSA for 3 months. I must admit that I am a bit disappointed.
In the mean time I have to rely on my iPhone to wake me up and it is not the same at all.

Yves
My dear NSA finally came back home yesterday afternoon after a long journey of exactly 4 months.
Apparently this delay was caused by the summer holidays in Swizterland. The date of repair on my certificate is October 02, 2012!!
As far as the work performed:
A) My bezel is now perfect, it clicks the way I like it (should be) and the luminous triangle is now straight.
B) It seems to keep much better time as since 4:00 o'clock yesterday PM, it has not gained a second.
C) Since they performed a complete overhaul, my timepiece has been polished and looks like a brand new one.
Conclusion:
Was it too long? Yes
Am I satisfied? Yes

Yves
