There might be an interesting solution.
Here is the official release I received from the Manufacture:
Reverso
Capturing your magic moments
In 2011, the year of the 80th anniversary of the legendary swivel watch, Jaeger-LeCoultre has decided to increase Reverso personalisation options.
Keener than ever to fulfill all wishes and ideas, from the simplest to the most sophisticated,
the Manufacture is offering numerous possibilities of engraving, gem-setting and enameling to make each Reverso as unique as he or she who wears it.
Let your inspiration rise simply browsing through the online personalisation service
http://personalisation.jaeger-lecoultre.com/
Now, you will find some pictures of what it is possible to do on your favourite Reverso:
Best to All,
Nicolas.

To be done only if it is a keeper, for you, which seems to be the case.
Yes, you can contact the JLC Boutique, I'm sure they will be very pleased to give you an hand.
Best,
Nicolas.
it may be even more than an option...
A nice and perpetual reminder of the original owner.
Best,
Nicolas.
Then, if you want an enamel, you would have to consider:
1/ A Reverso with an enamel dial, like the latest one.
2/ A Reverso with a solid case back, like the TT 1931 or any other " simple " one.
Excellent idea, my friend.
Best,
Nicolas.
AFAIK, it is not possible for two reasons:
1/ You delete all the ref numberso f the watch. It will be impossible to identify it.
2/ More important: If you put an " enameled decorum " on the back of the carriage, you directly expose it to your skin, then you take the risk to damage it ( the ename, not your skin ).
Best,
Nicolas.
BUT isn't it worth it?
I think I know why you want this TT 1931 to be personalized, and I have to agree with your reasons.
It is noe fo the best reasons in the word, then it is worth some " time sacrifices ", don't you think?
If I got you well, you don't have the watch, already. Ask Seth if it is not possible to do it immediately, before the delivery of your watch.
It will be a bit longer, but it may also be the best solution.
Best, Phil.
Nicolas.
I was playing with the Reverso personalization last nite - the possibilities are endless.
Would be really interested to see some real-life examples. Anyone personalized their Reverso? Do post and share them.
And I don't think a majority of people will do so.
The first and most important condition, IMO, is that the watch is a keeper, I mean that you won't sell it:
A personalisation is important for you, for the members of your family, rarely for others.
But, if you offer more solutions to personalize your watch, and if you're sure it will stay in the family, then I think that this kind of service will be more often used.
Best, foowy.
Nicolas.
Thanks Nicholas...looking forward
Gary
always look forward to your postings and updates.
I just contacted my AD and I am very happy with the price for the TT, below my expectation which is always good.
The final will be the WRIST TEST
Master Chrono vs Reverso TT......but I think where my heart leans on
Will keep you posted on my decision
