I am rather excited, they've announced the new Reverso Duoface which looks just like a 986 (with the date window) but 976 sized, lacks the outer guilloche bit on the silver dial and a 'flatter' black dial.....and it's not a limited edition.
Looks like my idea Reverso, no pushers, no eaten away numerals, nearer the 'right size'!!

My favourite Reverso so far is the TT 1931.

...but larger than GT and not as thick as XGT? That sounds ideally good to me too.

Good to hear you are liking that new Grande Reverso Duo. I like the fact that there is no pusher as well. It makes me nervous for fear of activating it accidentally and thus altering the time?

I always wanted a Duo but after years of lusting after one but when I could finally afford one found it was too small, plus several 'subtle' design changes I didn't 'approve' of, the changed black dial, the circular sub seconds dial, the pusher instead of discreet adjuster. I was offered a very good secondhand price on a Grande GMT which was perfect in terms of size but had far too many things I didn't want on my Reverso....two pushers spoiling it's lines for something as 'stupid' as adjusting the hour on the black dial, the day/night wheel, circular seconds...at the 5 o'clock position, eaten numerals......I tried on the 986 but it was stupidly large.

So this one seems to tick all the boxes...it's a mm or so bigger than the Grande GMT  but thinner, uncluttered....almost perfect. I presume the price will be a little less than the 986, but probably not much.

I'm a little disappointed that they haven't announced a new state of the art Reverso....one that pushes the limits of their creative thinking, instead what we have is remodelled existing models, certainly that appeal to me but at the end of the day it's just a smaller 986 and a thinner Grande Taille with a different dial.

I came to know the Reverso line probably because of the old Reverso Duo in GT size. And like you, I don't quite like the changed black dial and the full-sized pusher. I did like the new white dial though.

In any case, the XGT size came out and I liked it better. I was contemplating the Grande Date for a while, then the Grande Sun Moon came out and voila!

Anyone know the list price for this new Reverso Duo?

You can enjoy your 976 in the mean time and get rid it of it when the Grande Reverso Duo comes out.

Regarding price, I would presume that this new Duo will be slightly less expensive than the 986 as that was a limited edition. Is this a logical train of thought?

I assume the same Ruckdee. I feel bad for Duodate owners (I was thinking of getting it before instead of 976), this is the same movement in a thinner case, and due not being limited edition, a cheaper price perhaps. The dials are in the same 'spirit'.

...this new Grande Reverso Duo is coming out. As for Duodate owners, I feel bad too because I think JLC should not follow with so similar a watch so soon.

Literally in the last minute they have announced the Repetition Minutes A Rideau...which they claim has 'four faces' thanks to sliding curtains!!!!
