Hi everyone, I want to share some shots of my new Master Grande Ultra Thin in pink gold. I am also considering to buy a Reverso Grande GMT ss/strap (ref. 302.84.20). This watch is now discontinued (I talked to Richemont and this is official) but I still think it is the most beautiful Reverso ever made (except for the high-end pieces of course... the Gyrotourbilloun is simply breath-taking). So even if it is discontinued, I think it is a good purchase. Before purchasing it, I would like to hear from the forum if there are news or rumors about new Reverso models. I am not in love with the new 976 and 986 which I already tried. Interested in your thoughts. Alex

Btw, I already owned a Reverso Grande Date ss/strap which I loved but I sold it some time ago to buy a Daytona 116520. Now I miss the Reverso...

In RG, even if I'm not a colored gold fan, I have to admit that this is one of the most beautiful MGUT, as the RG enhances the classicism of this watch.

As for your question, you know the XGT cases Reversos, as you owned the Grande Date.

So, you won't be surprised by the Grande GMT.

You will enjoy a 2d dial, which is really beautiful, and a friendly complication.

Without speaking of the pleasure to have an 8 Days Movement, buy you already know that, as you had it on your Grande Date.

As to know if it is a good buy because it is discontinued, I would not make my decision on this criteria.

This is not a rare bird, but it is a lovely one, which is the most important, to me.

Yes, the MGUT is really the essence of classicism but with personality thank to its 40mm case. Maybe not so ultra thin as one might expect but, at the end, it's an automatic and perfection is not of this world!

My decision to buy or not to buy the Grande GMT is not based on the fact that it is now discontinued. I do not expect this fact to have any positive impact on its valuation on the market. Rather the contrary... I would only love to know what's coming next from JLC for the Reverso. Of course I know this is not easy and we will most probably have to wait untill sihh 2011...

What JLC will offer us, in the Reverso family, for 2011?

A 80eme, for sure.

But what will it be, I seriously have no clue about it.

But if I refer to the 60eme and the 70eme, it may be an relatively expensive watch.

Reverso GMT discontinued? This makes me even more excited with what 2011 brings. I am sure they already have some killer Reverso planned already. I just hope that it's not something that is so limited ed. I can't even afford it.
But I think it's a good time for me to start saving up

The MGUT is a realy beauty.  It is such an elegant piece, and it is good to have such a "simple" watch available in 40mm from MJLC.

Now, how about posting a wrist shot???

I, too, have been thinking for a while about the Grande GMT.  It remains my favorite (non-haute) modern Reverso.  I am surprised that it is discontinued, but swtill I will not rush to get one, as I agree with Nicolas, this is not a rare one and will be easy to find for some time yet.  I am waiting to see what 2011 brings since it is the Anniversary of the Reverso, and I expect that MJLC will release some new beauties.

I actually think that your MGUT and a Reverso would make a perfect JLC collection.

The MGUT is one heck of a beautiful watch - classic JLC. My only wish was that it had a hand-wound movement.

The Reverso GMT is a truly great watch. It's functionally very easy to use if you travel. Maybe the Glashutte Sport Evo GMT is easier, but not as classy looking. The Reverso can be worn smart with the white side up or casual with the black side up. I've got mine on a charcoal strap with lighter gray stitching which feels just right for either side. My only downer is the thickness of the watch which makes it all too easy to catch things.

i have small one MUT and Grande Reverso GMT, what i can say is that both of us are fantastic timepieces.

like the GR GMT, it is a very suitable companion when travelling overseas, especially for a week trip. it has 8-day power reverse which is just nice and perfect for a week travel! you don't need to crown up for additional power if you wind it before embarking for your trip.

Well... RG GMT is a beauty... I can dress up or dress down with it... the s.s bracelet is one of the most comfortable bracelets around. The micro adjustment function is a great tool.

Now, its gonna be discontinued...WOW!! I am glad that I own one... love the 8-day movement.

Thanks for feedback and reminding me that next year is 80 years of Reverso. For sure there will be exciting new models. I hope not just limited editions. As requested some shots of the MGUT on the wrist.
