Hi All,
Yesterday I was walking downtown and noted something special in a window display. As the title of this post suggests it was the Amvox2 Chronograph Racing, the PVD Titanium version. So I walked in to see it for myself.
A good choice as it turned out to be a great watch. It looks even more stunning in real than on a picture.
And you always learn something new. I always thought the glass moved when pressing it to operate the chronograph. In fact the case consists of two parts where the inner part moves inside the outer part. Great! And a very smart option. The switch to turn on and off the chronograph also has a reset protection. So you can start, stop and restart the watch but not reset it.
It looks quite heavy when it is laying in front of you. Probably due to its size and 'prototype' look. Then when you pick it up it is amazingly light. This makes it sit very nicely on the wrist.
The dial is a piece of art. You actually see the start/stop and reset mechanism work when you press the glass. The subdial discs move nicely and have a great look compared to hands on a normal chronograph. But then, this isn't a normal chronograph!
A winner in my book!

It is so easy to fall in love with the A II, whatever is the version.
The fact that there is no pusher on the case to activate or stop the chrono is really bringing something special to this watch.
And the young and funny look of this watch is another very appealing detail, to me.
IMO, one of the nicest and of the better thought Amvox.

Seeing it on a photograph gives you a certain feeling. After seeing in real, holding it, and operating the vertical triggering system that feeling is completly different. That really is something special. Seeing your photographs again brings back that feeling. And it sure is the best Amvox for me.
On your photos the black case really stands out. I can imagine your feeling in 2005. Something radically new. That original piece is something stunning, still...

It's refreshing to still have the possibility of being surprised by such an ingenious and well executed concept. Mine is not the racing model, still love it 
Racing or not, DBS or 1st Generation, an Amvox II is an Amvox II
