Since I started "lurking" here I could see and admire the JLC Memovox.
Not the new ones but the vintages.

Some time back, doing a trade, I finally got one.

It was in not great shape (lack of maintenance, dial is only OK) but my watchmaker performed his magic.

The movement is perfect, nice precision.

Here is my Memovox:







Now I got the Memovox "virus".

If I could grab a black dialed one ...

Great, great photos.  If the watch is working well, and the movement is clean, I absolutely love the dial as is.  As Nicolas says, it has soul.  Congratulations on this catch.  You seem to have a penchant for the not-so-recent and even older JLCs.  But perhaps you need to add a modern JLC to the collection...LOL.

What is this Memovox craze that seems to be gaining momentum?  Perhaps I am noticing it because I spend an inordinate amount of time loitering around here with you guys, but it seems like there is a lot more interest in the Memos now than, say, even two years ago.

My 2c:

• With the craziness of big watches, that seems to have no end, the size of the vintage ones is a best fit for most of the people.

• The design is great. Some of the 60's designs are a representation of the best that the watch industry could bring. See, as a demonstration, the number of re-editions. The latest Zeniths is a good example.

Finally, who can resist to the super coolness of a vintage Memovox?

Nilo, by the way, look at the dial of your Memovox, it makes me think to link it like the jean we wear. older the jean you got, more comfortable you feel... so nice to see such nice looking watch.

I noticed that many Memovoxes have gone by in the last weeks. It's a joy to look at and can only spread the virus.

I can only say I love your watch! It has a very strong appearance. As Nicolas said the dial is a bit tired but that only gives it more appeal. Congratulations!
