As far as a strap is concerned it really depends on how you want to wear it sporty or dressy....

If you want a sporty look I would choose a calf, probably light brown...

...I love it more.  Excellent choice.  I for one especially like the SS version best.  Congratulations!  So, what is wrong with the strap you have on now?  It looks great wiht the watch.  Tyr it as you have it for a while and see how you feel after a few weeks.

I will try some straps to find the "right" one. Nothing is wrong with the one I'm wearing now but will try the same one in black, We'll see.

The alarm? What can I say? It sounds GREAT! When on the wrist is not as loud as holding in your hand but, who cares? Fantastic timepiece.

The Amvox I is a classic, since it is discontinued.

A kind of Polaris of rthe modern times.

As for your strap question, I would have a nice rugged calf, and a very dressy crocodile.

Both watch and strap!  If at all you need a new strap, I think it should be a relatively thick one with contrast stitching. There's an Atelier in Paris which does some very nice straps in suede croco. I am tempted to try one of those myself.

I've ordered the strap from the new Navy Seals Alarm, it looks great so I've decided to try it and see how it looks on my watch. I'll keep you posted with the updates.

looks great on that strap.....BUT if you want to purchase another strap I would suggest Hirsch. I purchased a few watches by Hirsch from thewatchprince.com (i apologize if i cannot include this reference) for my MC Memovox and have been very pleased with them!

... a wise and satisfying selection.

You may wish to consider the JLC strap in red; sounds strange, perhaps, but the red nicely accentuates the tip of the second hand.
