As some of you may have seen on the Home page i recieved 2 birthday presents last weekend to celebrate my 40th....greedy I know but I think 40 is worth celebrating in style..!!
The Atmos was one of them and was contained in the big box and is something I have been debating for quite some time and finally thought I'd pull the trigger so ordered it a few weeks ago.......it isn't the easiest to photograph so I hope these pics are OK and show some of the beauty of the Atmos although I think to really appreciate it you have to see one in the flesh and working as the slow movement is almost mesmorising.....

The other present is a PAM292 which is even harder to photograph so I am still working on that one but pics will appear when they are worthy on the Panerai forum..!!!
Hope you enjoy these pics,
Yours,
Andy....(Old but very happy..!!)
I, too, have long admired these clocks. Your photos are great!
I see you have the "Classique Transparente"; how did you come to this choice over the gold or rhodium Classique or even the moon phase variants?
I'm still on the short side of 40, but when it comes (not too long now!) it will coincide with my 15th wedding anniversary. You're giving me some good ideas....
-Tom
I have always loved the Atmos from a pure fascination point of view but there was always something extra I wanted but didn't know what....then the two glass versions came out and that was it...pefect, simple and elegant.
It was a tough decision between the Moon phase and plain versions but personally the simplicity of the time only version just suited the glass model....pure simplicity.
Thanks for the comments,
Andy.

the joy of leaving it forever and never having to wind it is amazing isn't it..!! An absolute joy to watch it...which I have been doing all week..;o)
Yours,
Andy.

I didn't know you also had one....amazing aren't they. There is a pic on the Home page of it in it's home and so far hasn't altered by even a second.
Absolutely beautiful to watch. Look forward to meeting again at the next GTG.
Andy.

I have a lot to thank you for my good friend especially regarding the 292 which when i figure out how to photograph it will be put on the Panerai forum...!!!!
Best to you and your family,
Andy.
being a cheapskate i bought mine pre owned, but it has worked faultlessly on my mantlepiece for about 3 years and it dates from the 80's so its already had a long life.
they are brilliant clocks and i like the all glass model so well bought.
here's mine just for the hell of it

best wishes for your 40th you young whipper snapper
Graham
I'll drink a few to celebrate for you too..!!!
Pics of the 292 are on the Panerai forum now.....the dark side...!!!
Andy.
40 is definately the new 30 whan you can also afford to have fun...:o)
Andy.
And congratulations for the superb JLC
I saw some Atmos when I was “hunting” my RDM in Vienna, November 2007 – I knew about them but was really impressed to see those beauties “in the flesh”.
I also turned 40 recently (July 31st), but wasn’t able to celebrate with a new watch – I ordered a non-expensive but beautiful fountain pen to keep things classic
All the best!
Marcelo
Pens also interest me but I can't write with a fountain pen..!! I do keep looking at a Mont Blanc roller ball though...maybe one day..!!
Andy.

is to not have a family..!! One day I will so I'm spending while I have the chance...:o)
Yours,
Andy.
