Greetings to all.

Today i saw a YG Duometre for the first time. I have previously seen the RG but this was a magical moment to see the YG in the metal. I thought that I would be happy with the RG piece but the YG is an absolute beauty. It was love at first sight. Unfortunately, the YG piece was sold to a friend of mine, but.....The next one that comes into the AD is going to be mine!

Question though, I am trying to remember the differences between the RG and YG editions. I know that the YG is ltd edition. The YG has black hands on the chronograph while the RG has blued hands. The antique cream dial of the YG is amazingly subtle and a wonderful combination with the YG case. I seem to remember that the white dial of the RG edition had guilloche of the subdials, am I right? Are there any differences that I can't remember?

from the 2007 SIHH. The RG dial is IMO more special and I would describe it as 'eggshell' texture and colour. Although it is a matter of personal preference, I have no doubt that the YG has a substantial presence, more dressy and flashy too.

Please note that on the YG Duo Metre, the dial is smooth, while on the RG and on the Platinum, the dial has a grained finish.

I also have to precise that it seems that on the very first dials of the RG, the finish of the counters is circular, while on the further models it is not the case...

Cerainly an illusion, as I'm sure that the RG isd RG and the YG is YG...

The YG is paler, of course.

It may be an illusion due to Photoshop...

All three models are nice: YG is sunny and bright; platinum is icy cool; but RG is perfect (IMO of course!)!  This is one of my favorite watches being produced today.  The nod to traditional styling coupled with technical know-how creates a very attractive overall package!  Thanks for the macros!

... when u saw the YG and when u saw the RG. The grainy dial of the RG gave u an impression on superior finishing or the smooth dial of the YG was a notch more refined?
I haven't seen either in the metal. But the post of the RG duometre here , with macro pics had my heart go for the RG.
Like always, when u order a watch without seeing it in the metal, there is a risk u take...Maybe i shouldn't, but it wouldn't be so exciting

I have to say though that the pictures of the YG truly does not do it justice.  While the RG dial is pure white (even with the grainy texture) the subtle coloring of the YG and it's antique appearance offsetting the YG is amazing.  I would advise any one considering the Duometre to see both in the metal and not solely by picture alone before committing to one of the other as I was going to be satisfied with the RG until I laid eyes on the YG.  Obviously just my opinion.

Will there ever be one in white gold?! What do you guys think? JLC is not very keen on WG, is it?

My problem with the YG is that the cream dial diminishes somehow the visibility of the yellow gold hands...and my eyes are not what they used to be anymore... I tried both consecutively and the RG visibility is much better.

Maybe one day...
