This is my first post here.  A few years ago I had my Master Control (37mm model) stolen.  Since then I've owned a few Panerai watches, but have always kept an eye on JLC.  The watch I'd love to find is the discontinued Master Reveil (in steel).  I know how difficult it is to find one for sale, so am wondering if any of you have creative ideas as to how to locate one.  I've tried the obvious - checking forum for sale pages, talking to a few ADs, and speaking with someone at the BH JLC botique.  'Hopefully this post is appropriate (mods, if not, please delete).

I'm a ig fan of the Master Reveil, although I don't own one, yet.

The simplest solution is to put a " WTB " post on our Collector Market.

I often see this watch, but it goes quite quickly.

You should try a Google, too.

This is a fantastic watch. As said previously,  those that are proposed at a correct price do not stay for sale long. On chrono24, you'll find this model every now and then. Good luck

I see you put on a brown strap just as I did. Mine came on a black alligator strap, but IMO this watch wears brown leather very well. Does your bezel scratches as much as mine does? I mean the small part of the bezel; it seems slightly higher, or at the same level as the crystal. I'm trying to be as cautious as I can, but once in a while I do seem to walk into stuff; hence the scratches. Thankfully it is just a small part of the watch, so it is not that obvious it's just that I HATE SCRATCHES (pardon me for the shouting).

I also much perfer this watch on brown strap. Even medium brown is very much to my taste ;-)

Regarding the sratches, as for all polished watches, this is very complicated to keep it mint. The little bezel around the sapphir is very exposed, you are right. Mine has some too but nothing alarming ;-)

 

I was more thinking of a Black strap for this Master Reveil, but the honey Gator works very well.

You are correct, the black strap is probably the easiest option. One cannot be wrong with a black strap. But I tent to avoid black straps. To my taste, the combination is a little to "hard" with strong contrasts. I have the feeling that less "strong contrasts" put the watch forward.

While I was hunting mine, I collected many picture of this watch. Below is one from a French man "ARNO" that gave me the idea to try the "cognac" coloured croc.



 

I really like how it looks on a honey colored croc.  Can you tell me about the strap?  Is it oem?  Looks a bit like an ABP light brown gator with their 'vintage' finish.

You are correct, this is a strap from ABP croc ACZ3 "tannage special" as they say.

I recognized it as I bought the same for my Panerai 112 a few months ago (in fact I'm wearing it as I type...).   Really looks fantastic on the Reveil.   Now...if only I can find a good one for sale.  My quest continues...  Thanks for posting pics, great to look at in the mean time!

Great strap but I prefer the dark brown. Ever tried a blue strap to match the blued second hand

Here's mine; my sincere apologies for wearing my watches on the "wrong" wrist. Being left handed this feels more natural to me. Also never a problem with crowns digging in to the wrist.

I picked one two months ago and, apart from the problems I've encountered (more details in Starman's post about his MR), I am very pleased with it. It's a great watch.

 

Here is mine, with a black crocodile strap.

 

 You could find mine in Chrono24, but I got it directly from the dealer (it was a local dealer, lucky me)
