Hi,
Hi Budi,
For question 1, yes it is basically the same calibre conception, but implemented differently. 977 is a square caliber with a smaller rotor to fit in a square watch, while the two others 972 and 975 are nearly identical with just a gold rotor on 975 and a different different organization to cope with.
Yes 977 is "autotractor" too. The review of the "autotractor" was not made by me but by Suitbert Walter:

For question 2, I don't think it is as it was launched a year before the Hometime "autotractor" 975 calibre which was the first one. Several calibres have been "autotractorized" since but their calibre number has changed, not this one. We definitely need to check with JLC as I can't find any precise information.
For question 3 I don't know exactly but as it has a different dial organization it has a different calibre number. It is the same base calibre but without the power reserve indicator and with a different design for the watch. 937 is autotractorized. It was 929/3 before being autractorized. I don't think 923 is a new generation movement.
For question 4, the Compressor Geographic is close to the Compressor Dualmatic which has a calibre IMVHO better suited to sport activity. So unless you need to be able to see the different timezones I'd better choose the Dualmatic. But it's very personal as I would have no need of any GMT function.
Cheers
