Jaeger-LeCoultre

I have been an admirer of Jaeger LeCoultre ever since I read my first book on horology, which dedicated a well written chapter on Jaeger that described its historical significance to the industry. I have been enjoying the information and pictures on this Purist forum for some time and I thank you. After many years, I have finally purchased my first Jaeger at a local AD and am already thinking about my next Jaeger... perhaps a Compressor? I absolutely love how clean and balanced the dial is on the current Master Geographic. IMHO it is a great accomplishment to design a complicated watch with such a clean and simple dial. I also love the subtle color contrasts. Please excuse my pictures as I am not a photographer.

The layout of this watch is almost identical to the VC and AP's Dual time.  Do they share the same mechanism and who makes it?  Thanks.

I am actually looking to buy a JLC GMT mainly because of its shape - I do not have a rectangular watch.  Any comments?

Your 1st and 2nd pictures were under exposure(lights insufficient) and blueish.Your 3rd picture was taken a little bite far.No big issue here,just keep snaping keep posting,everything will be in intake very soon.

Personally I like the 3rd shot as it shows more clearly how it fits to the wrist....I find people hold the camera far too close to the watch which gives the impression the watch is huge..!!  I have the camera at distance and zoom in.

Congratulations on your first JLC. It is indeed a lovely balanced dial and one of the nicest in that series. As others have wished you, wear it in good health and enjoy it.
