These are the two watches I am interested in purchasing now. I had my mind set on the Grande Date, but after trying it on at a AD foir a minute or so, I thought it may be either too large or maybe too thick. I don't want to end up with a watch that is going to sit in a drawer like other dress watches I have. I am looking for a replacement everyday watch.
Any comments on how you got used to wearing yours? My wrist is small (6.75")

I had the same concern when i first tried the GD on at the AD  as my wrist is smaller than yours (6.4 inch) but my heart was set  on it so after a few weeks of pondering , i went back to try it again and got it in the end.  For some it will look  unacceptable due to how thick it is on a smallish wrist  but i have no buyer remorse after 2 years and it's my pride and joy among my small collection. It's my weekend watch too and i love the long power reserve from the double barrel.

Great effect indeed, it's a bit like black and white pics with blued hands.
