Just found it after hunting it for 3 years....The Polaris!!!
Just perfect.
The funny thing is when you compare it to the Amvox I...This last one is a stunning nice reinterpretation of the polaris.

That's quite a find..!!  As Dje said it seems very similar in size to the AMVOX - I've never seen the two side by side before so that's a great shot.
It just confirms my wish that the Polaris face would look fantastic in the AMVOX..!!! 
How do the sounds differ..??  Are they actually much different..??

These 2 are 42mm case. The most amazing is that the case is 98% the SAME,even with the design of the "cornes"=ligs in english???As for the sound , the Polaris is more sounding as a cricket,while the Amvox I is more approaching the ring of a school...Here are some more pics of this duo...

AFAIK,JLC is studying the very possible réédition of the Polaris.They are ok with this idea,but yet no final decision made.As for the association with AM,I didn't hear that it will end soon.

There may be light at the end of the tunnel yet then..!!  Very interesting to note that JLC have/are listening to the customers....and very useful that it will give me another year to save up..!!  I would love another JLC as the quality on my GSM is just stunning - still can't stop looking at it, and an alarm complication would fit in just perfectly.
The Polaris seems to stir up such emotion, and for once all of it positive.  Your a lucky man to own one.

I must say that I was very positevely impressed by the contact I had and still have with JLC France ,and also J LAMBERT....Something is changing,they moove inthe right way.And YES,they listen to their customers/passionate/collectors/watchnuts we are...Even when you say what you don't like,your critical point of view...This is really amazing.I have some watches from AP,Breguet,IWC,JLC,Lange,Panerai,Patek,U.NARDIN,and Rolex.I spoke with some of them,but I have to admit that the best contact I have is with JLC.Do I have a problem???JLC is helping me the best they can.

How did you find out about a Polaris homage..??  I've said this a million times before but if they would just put the Polaris face in an AMVOX case with a display back and no mention of AM I'd order it today......in fact dare I say it would be better than the original as the alarm would be more modern and louder. 
It's nice to know they listen to the people who made JLC what it is today and it would be good to get a half normal size piece for us old school who just appreciate beauty and not just size.
Until your side by side pic I hadn't realised how similar the Polaris is to the AMVOX I so it show's how easy it would be for JLC to do a new Polaris - no development required, just stick on a new face...easy...!!!  They's sell by the bucket full.

Regadring the GSM, the rate has improved somewhat after five months from +10 sec a day to +6 a day. I'm not very impressed but I can live with that . My Master Moon was like +1 or +2 sec a day out of the box and that rate has never changed. And the Master Moon was not subject to Master 1000 hours test! Duh...

Even if the two cases are very similar....

you can't improve asthetically on something so good in the first place.....but time will tell.  Definately next year you say..??  Fingers crossed.

The Polaris really is a great watch and yours seems to be in an astounding condition. Regarding the dial design one has to concede that non of the remakes (CM and AMVOX1) come close.
