Jerome Lambert’s return to JLC
With the exciting news of Jerome Lambert returning to JLC, I was reminded of two of my favourite posts ever on the Purists, namely two related posts from 2009 by Dje about the tale of his and Nico’s trip to Le Mans, courtesy of JLC. A lavish trip involving a stay in a chateau, a helicopter ride to the Le Mans race circuit, hanging out with Aston Martin during the race and lots of wonderful cars. Oh, and few nice watches too, in particular the white and black dial versions of the Amvox 2 Racing Chronograph, launched to celebrate Aston Martin’s racing at Le Mans.
I’m a particular fan of this watch, which, for me, sums up that exciting era of JLC - it’s fun, interesting and has a horological twist in its chronograph function. Great times. Let’s hope they come back under Jerome Lambert - the sequel!

Unforgettable. But I did Le Mans with JLC for the first time in 2007. 2009 was a blast, though.
