When I tried one on recently I was surprised that it wasn't as heavy as I was expecting. Certainly heavier than my titanium versions but not too heavy. More importantly, in the short time I tried it on, it felt pretty balanced with the deployant clasp and it didn't feel too top heavy. Am I right in saying that the parts of the case are a mix of platinum and titanium/steel?
You know I fully agree with your views on the Amvox 2 deserving more attention! I can only imagine that a large part of it is that newer collectors don't even know of the Amvox range, and those that do know of Amvox may be put off by the size and thickness - which is a bit unfair because they are pretty comfortable on the wrist. If the dial said "AP" or "RM" then that might help with their popularity too!
If something like the IWC ceramic 3705 can become a cult classic then I have hope that the Amvox range (particularly the Amvox 2) will become a sought-after classic as well, at some point, when the new collectors start to look beyond Rolex.
All the best,
Jon
