This version is one of the nicest and seems only can find it preowned or someone's unworned condition....good for you, lucky your local team can do it.

I have the same problem with hunting and I'm happy to have real friends that do this professionally.

I don't dare to call any watch "the most beautiful" because, like in everything, there always be another "most beautiful". 

The black duomètre will be a solid reminder of all these wonderful things. How could your PG duomètre compete with that?!

But paraphrasing an old advert here, "One don't forget the first Duomètre".

I've been wrestling with losing the RG version for two years but haven't been able to let go.

It will be nearly impossible to let go the PG, even considering that it go to receive less wrist time (golden things here attract criminals like flies).

If the WG version would have been available at the time I would probably just have it as I prefer it to the RG. But alas it is nice to have both as they look good as a pair...very different.

I need to mention this to my family on our next gathering.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw your pictures of the black dial was: How powerful it looks! I can understand well that you are thinking about letting the RG one go.
How parallels arise: The idea that the Standard Master Memovox in my box would probably not be able to stand its ground next to a Memovox boutique edition was one of my reasons to skip the latter. For now.... I just like the former too much to let it be pushed aside by the awesome blue one.
I can understand so well how you got up early and went to see your new treasure.
In the end the difference between boys and men is the price tags on their toys.
And if that force was not as strong in Purists as it is they would not be the wonderful bunch that they are.
I hope the thrills of this wonderful Duometre version will never fade from you!

You are partially correct (as everything on human endeavors).
Variations are the spice of our short existence and, as of now, I'm deciding to keep both until another big motivation changes my mind.
Let's see if, on my meager Xmas holidays, I can do a "family picture" with my current set of Duomètres.
