RM052

As manywatch enthusiasts here I don't see myself wearing skull decorated watches but the finishing quality of this RM is phenomenal.

This is really a big watch I could yet wear as an artwork.

I love the way RM cases are built and decorated but this dial is something very uncommun in that field.

Thanks a lot again for thinking of us while you were there Andrew wink

Cheers, Mark

Well I love it!

Not a daily wearer but great for weekends

Dead impressed! Both with the photos and with the watch!

Truly lateral thinking by Richard and surprisingly pleasing to the eye despite the subject matter!

There are now other versions out there, especially the jewelled forms, that are showing some extremely interesting and individual renditions of the watch: diamond studded teeth with one tooth in black diamond!  Fab!

Great photos and a great watch!  Thanks for sharing.

A few more points

Andrew,

Some thoughts were sparked by your missive.

I just realised that this is a true skeleton watch (sic)   smile

I usually do not like skulls; maybe its an abhorrence stemming from the horrors of viva voce in final anatomy examinations at medical school. I still don't see why they made us learn some of the minutiae in the skull. As far as I am concerned in the real world, if it's bleeding, clip it and hope for the best. If it's 'yellow', don't touch it! (Editor's note:  yellow structures in text books denote nervous tissue).

As skull watches go, the Richard Mille example is well executed, discreet and it "fits" with the tonneau case shape bettor than most. I would go as far as to say, it would be my choice of best 'skull watch'.

Finally, a note on why RM watches are so well designed and finished. It's Richard Mille himself. Even if he does not put pen to paper or mouse to CAD program, as a former CEO of a jewelry house, he knows about making good things.

Regards,
MTF

From comments Richard made ....

... back in 2007 when I heard him speak he was very involved in the design of the watches. A very iterative process and he had firm ideas regarding what he wanted. My regard for Richard Mille, the man, as well as Richard Mille, the company, increased enormously after that. He is not a businessman just putting his name on a product by any means. He lives these watches, and lives the lifestyle that goes with them.

Richard and the company deserve every success they have had.
