The new RM 010 Black Night Limited Edition will be soon available at all authorized RM retailers in Europe, CIS, Middle East and Africa.
RICHARD MILLE ANNOUNCES THE NEW RM 010 'BLACK NIGHT' LIMITED EDITION
An adaptation of the original RM 010, the RM 10 Black Night features a unique 'All Black' DLC treatment of the case thus creating a striking new contrast with the red dial ring. This limited edition RM 010 comes on a black rubber strap complete with a black DLC-treated buckle yet again confirming Richard Mille's devotion to the use of innovative materials.
Under its case the RM 010 Black Night boasts a skeletonized caliber RM 005 automatic-winding movement with an integrated variable-geometry rotor, an exclusive Richard Mille concept which allows the automatic winding to adapt to the wearer's activity. Each watch is assembled and finished entirely by hand: the barrel-shaped casing alone requires 202 distinct factory operations. The watch's design and construction are the result of an overall approach encompassing movement, casing and face.
Richard Mille will produce just 20 pieces of the RM 010 Black Night limited edition.

this one except it has sand balsted Ti which gives it a bit of a darker shade than the regular Ti, BUT has the RED inner ring and RED rubber border on the crown (there is a pic of the watch in the RM website in the LIMTD section)
when i showed him the pic he was soo mad although his was out of 10 and this is out of 20 so the chances of spotting ohne in person is zero to none but nonne the less he didnt take it well.
colour changes on the case or dial and tag LMTD on it first the RM11 and now the 10 not to mention the 16. i know the LMTD scheme is a neccessaty in each watch company and im fine with it really whether it is a colour change or a whole new watch concept in LMTD example RM27,12,009 and 006...etc
these are all limited arent they but in the true raw and core essence of being limited...the entery level models i guess is the bread and butter of the company so creating varients of the same model isnt a bad approach even if you or i donjt like to accept it the fact of the matter is it is actually very much needed
and are indeed reminescent of AP ROOs, but in total fairness RM still produces these lmtd pieces in really lmtd numbers 30 at max and some reach up to 5 only so its not like he is flooding the market with different variants plus most of them are region targeted (i.e AMERICAs editions).
varaiety isnt bad but exccessive varaiety is an issue and thats where RM should be careful about. although Mr. Richard himself acknowledges that fact and indeed is aware of the issue but keep in mmind that most if not all of these lmtd pieces were agreed upon since long time ago and thus he is committed to them. plus RM has many friends in different regions of the world and those have strong household names in the business and request personally from RM to create lmtd for them or their region (just an example is the RM11 SIDDIQUE) i met Abdulhameed Siddiqui with RM in Dubai and Abu Dhabi during the F1 last Nov. and they are close friends so no wonder if RM does something special for that retailer (Siddiqui and sons are one of the biggest watch reatilers i the region) i could go on and on but i think you get what im trying to say.
i myself have mixed feelings about these lmtd but hey if i was in RM shoes i guess i'd be doing the exact same thing
