I have always been attracted to movement and open faced manual watches. I almost purchased the unique ML Gravity as I love to look at the movement of the balance wheel. Ultimately just way too thick for my taste. I love the looks of both of these even though I know the price range is wide, I would love feedback on the brands and also the care and feeding of a Tourbillion. I would like to wear either of these at least a couple of times a week. I have had a La Tradition but ultimately the matte finish just took away from the elegance of the watch. Happy to hear any other possible suggestions.
Thanks in advance
Nick

The Bovet is not even close, especially regarding the finishing. Ok Gauthiers's work is superlative but the Bovet's finishing is more or less on par with a ML Gravity....Which is strange for a Tourbillon " only ".
I would strongly suggest you to see both of them in the flesh.
Here are real pictures I could take of the Ulysse Nardin.
Best,

Yes, I find it quite good looking, even from my smartphone, but we would need more accurate pictures.
The UN is not my favourite, I much prefer the Royal Blue from the same brand.
But nothing can beat a real expeirence. Keep us updated.

Loved tourbillon with silica parts but to me matte looking with minimal decoration even though it was highly skeletonized.. Really impressed by Bovet fit and finish. Truly superlative. Love the 18K red case with lacquer face finish, 170 hour power reserve, ability to see minute sweep hand from front or back as well as balance wheel and escapement from front. I decided to go with white face with blue hands and hope to get blue strap very shortly and deployment buckle when available. My contact informed me a matte gray and blue face were seen at SIHH and will be available soon after Basel for a more casual look.
