Horological Meandering

I was out this weekend enjoying the last rays of the summer sun.

Sadly the summer here in Sweden are comming to an end, it has already started to get chilly in the evenings and soon the leafs on the trees will start to turn into autumn colours...

I know the black dial version of this watch are "rarer" and more sought after, but when the sun is out, the silver-white sunburst dial comes to its full right!

Honestly, I don't see myself trading this one for a black dialed version (but I can easily see myself making the pair! ).

Love the way the sun light and the clouds reflection plays on the dial!

Ever changing, highlighting one detail one second...

Just to conceal it in the next...

It is a devilish beauty - it is the 666!

btw, what is the caliber number, 8521 or 8531, mine is 8521 and hour indices are slightly different with yours?

Interesting to see is that it is often the more unusual like this 666 and S58...

Mine is Cal 8531, serial 1.7 mil which puts it 1962/63.

But it was not sold untill 24 of May 1969, in a small city called Karlstad here in Sweden.

mine, serial is 1.3 mil which means mine is earlier that yours as it housed 8521 instead of 8531!

mine i brought it from Zurich when i stopped by there after my work trip in Geneva last Dec. the shop keeper told me that he got the watch from the first owner, i am hence the second!

... piece that is.  And excellent photographs to boot.  Sorry the weather is changing for you in the land of cold, but think of this... you've got an absolutely beautiful IWC 666 to wear whatever the weather.

That is a very small comfort when it will be 1 meter of snow outside...
