An admission: I tried to conjure up some elegant prose and amazing photography with which to trumpet the posting of ol' no. 3000. The task proved impossible!
Let me leave it at this: it is an honor to participate with all of you here. Your horological knowledge never ceases to amaze me. Your photographic skills and your ability to spin a yarn constantly impress me. You have created a completely fun and cool place to share a common passion. You make me smile at the end of a long day, you take me with you to far away lands, you help me imagine what it feels like to drive (or even to design) luxurious supercars, you take me inside the most complicated movements, and you have lead to me admire the incredible beauty of the simplest. We have shared joys and sorrows, and mostly camaraderie.
Thank you. Thanks for indulging my amateurish questions without ridicule. Thank you sharing your passion, and your friendship. See you online. I'll make the coffee.

Actually, I baby it as much as I can, but it gets worn harder than most of my watches. I bought it a few years ago intending to have it serviced, but I have never gotten around to it as it runs so damn good.

i started with a non date oyster, then added a 5513 sub, bought a 2 tone datejust and offloaded the non date so i'm left with a 5513 and a 2 tone date just. just the day date to get. oh and a gmt :)
