Horological Meandering

I was wondering if someone could tell me specifics about this automatic watch such as the type of movement, what year it came out, is it still in production, was it made for the European market only or was it sold in U.S. also?  Is it 39.5 mm in diameter or 41.5 mm in diameter?  I have seen both numbers on the internet.  I know the watch uses Black Force steel and the watch is automatic with no digital component.

 

Is the watch considered a good watch?  What do people think of it in this watch on this site?

If you are going to spend an important sum in a LV watch, I would check a more establish names in the industry. A lot of worldtimmers out there, JLC, rolex, GP

Most people think they are fashion watches, but they produce some really cool pieces.  I had a chance to play around with one of their top pieces a while back (a minute repeater) and was really impressed with the quality of it and the finish.   Everyone jumps for Rolex, JLC, etc, etc... great watches but lacking an individuality (when I sit on a plane everyone around me seems to be wearing the same watches... normally Rolex).

Its good to be different... now if only they had an orange version...

LV have hired some horology heavyweights and are starting to produce some interesting pieces. I do like the Spin Time collection. Not necessarily a new idea for telling time with revolving satellites, but an interesting spin on the idea. Not a big fan of the Tambour case though with the smaller diameter front.
