You certainly still have in mind Emilio's great post about the Benrurs Type I and II.

This is not a watch I most often wear, but each time it is under my eyes, I can't resist.
It has an unbelievable strenght, a bestial beauty, some undisputable character.
So, to make it short, here are 3 brand fresh pictures of this military watch:
A Dark bird:
You certainly noticed that the plexy has some crazes, but it adds to its toolwatch character.
A furtive plane, with an angular case:
I love a lot the contrast between the sweet, sensual domed plexy, and the rough case.
Why Sterile?
Not because there is no writing on the dial, the non Sterile Type I has no wording, either, but because there is nothing engraved on the case back, except a number ( serial number ) :
This watch has been made under Military Specifications, and not a watch currently findeable in an AD.
It houses a modified ETA movement, which hacks.
Accurate, reliable, with a strong personality... 40 years after, it is still a pleasure to put it on the wrist.
And, as we mention Military specifications, it is interresting to remind that the Benrus came after another important watch, used by the SEALs... The Tornek Rayville, whose dial and hands are very close, and the use of Promethium 247 as a luminous material is common to them.
The dial side:
Back side, now... Sterile or " litterature " case back?
Best to All,
Nicolas.
