...with the cool, innovative feature of a belt drive.  I definitely applaud Tag for taking the plunge with the design of the watch.  Personally, I think it's very large and a little awkward for actually wearing.

By the way,do you have an idea on the life span of the belt driven drivetrain?Do we need to send in for replacement for the watch to run accurately.....hmm,just like cars?LOL....And the linear rotor that goes up and down,the feeling of it hits the upper and lower wall....really weird.The movement of the linear block that generate the power reserve or it is magnetically generated.....something like a motor concept with magnetic field stuff,just my imagination.

Lastly,everything come to dollar and cents.Although,its a technology break through concept watch,its still a Tag watch.Will it justify this price tag is still questionable at this stage.

...the truth about servicing intervals for the belts.  I imagine there will be some wear and tear, just like on any other part of a mechanical timepiece.  To me the pricing and brand are not really related.  The pricing should be commensurate with what you are getting.  Only the individual purchaser can discern if the watch in question meets with approval in their own personal value matrix.

Saw it in at an AD in LA last summer

and I really found it great.

I don't know if it better or not but it is really different and, in a watch sector in whichthere are nto much of design revolution I'm glad it exists and Tag created it.

Is it more accurate ? Less ? Does it last ? I don't know but it's very interesting and very very well finished. I particularly like the glass shape and how it is cut.

Concerning whether it is wearable or not, I would say, as for most of original watches, that the size is not a problem.

The version I saw:

The V4 is truly a unique piece of horological art.  The layout of the face is like that of the engine block of a car.  It is a fascinating piece to just sit and observe as it's belts carry forth the energy of the watch and turns the gears from the escapement down to the second, minute and hour hand. I have never seen anything like it.  Why belts?  I guess because they can but why not?  Will the belts stand the test of time?  Don't know.  TAG has a maintenance request of every 18 months for which the first few are free of charge.  I am sure that it is so that they can monitor the wear and tear of the belts.  The problem is, I am not sure how many owners will make this watch a daily wear so there may be a false sense of security by monitoring the watches in general circulation. 

It is somewhat bulky to wear but it is not uncomfortable and sets nicely on my 6 1/4 inch wrist.  My only criticism of the watch is the winding efficiency of the winding mass in the back.  I can't call it a rotor as it does it's thing in the vertical plane only.  I find that the watch should be powered up by the crown and the winding is continued by way of the mass.  It is certainly notable when the mas clunks to the opposite side.  It can be felt but it is fun to feel it and is an idle pleasure to feel it by rotating my wrist.  The hands are not my favorite as they seem to be the same hands that are found on other TAGs but I have grown to like them.

My preference is the platinum version followed by the Ti version.  Not a fan of the RG version (strange for me as I am a RG fan).

Yes,seconded all the facts you highlighted.

I was presented with a Ti piece.Its  stealthy look captured my attention followed by the all the movement beauty especially the linear rotor and the barrels that look like engine.

The only thing here after reading all the comments and review,there's just the price after  several hikes make it a little further to reach.LOLOL...

Loved the 1st prototype at Basel a few years back, and still like very much the released versions, the only downside is the price hike since the beginning of the project, which sadly precludes me ever owning one, probably...
