I spent some time off with my good friend Hennig Jorgensen who designed the linework for the Octopus Tattoo.
For some reasons(wink wink)he had with him the only proto of this very appealing watch.
Could I miss the chance?Hell no....
Here are some snaps of the details and a tattoo wristshot....
Enjoy.

yes the watch is very well done and I can see how it could appeal to a young audience.
Also quite comfortable on the wrist despite its size.
Mo
they used a very fine laser technique.
There is a post or a press release from LW somewhere,I?ll try to find it..
Mo
Cheers,
Anthony

Indeed a godfather of tattooing.....
Mo
as I said, despite its size the watch fees good on the wrist and not too heavy.
Looks can be deceptivce at times.
Also the strap is really well done and wraps your wrist very well.

Hello Marcus & Melvyn
First of all we would like to thank you for your report and interest in LW (as well as apologise for the delay in posting this...) !
The Oktopus Tattoo is indeed a watch bearing ‘arty’ details and was essentially created to bring something new in haute horlogerie, the art of tattooing. It was very much created out of the love and interest in the world of art without though compromising on the quality, craftsmanship and functionality of the LW watches as you have come to know them. Laser engraving chosen instead of hand engraving for two reasons one of which you have correctly identified on you report. LW didn’t want to compromise on details of the tattoo design plus we wanted to give emphasis solely on one artist in this case the tattooist, Henning Jørgensen.
The Oktopus Tattoo is essentially a divers watch in steel powered by an F. Piguet movement (1150 calibre), water resistant down to 1111m and can take both the Reef and the Rock instruments for one’s diving or land based sports activities respectively!
How does this blend with our hand-drawn illustration campaigns? Miss Cheng appears with the same tattoo on her shoulder as the engravings on the case of the Oktopus Tattoo.
The focus at Linde Werdelin is crafting well thought quality and functional timepieces and digital instruments, in our own way and pace, without following trends. In terms of communication, this means moving away from anything that has to do with traditional way of product communication and instead going for a lighter and fresher approach which does not necessarily use a product, but rather a beautifully hand-drawn (and not computerised) illustration. The result (we believe) is non-intrusive, engaging and aesthetically pleasing.
With regards to your comments on the SpidoLite SA dial and finishing of the movement, please see link below.
I hope the above shed a bit of light on the LW 'mentality' and way of thinking. Looking forward to your comments.
All the best,
Aphrodite
I believe I got it right.Henning and me talked briefly about it ,but then drinks and the California sun came along and we got ...distracted...
Hope you are well.
Yours,Mo.
