OK, it's not a chocolate watch.
It is in fact a Rado Ceramica with a dial made up entirely of baguette-cut black diamonds.
The diamonds catch the light in interesting ways, but are certainly not showy.
This is a highly limited edition - in fact I suspect it may be a pièce unique. There is a similar watch in white diamonds, but I like this one because it's stealthier.

sorry, but i cant see the point of diamonds that arent blingy
personally i hate diamonds and think they only belong on womens watches, but these black diamonds are a bit ridiculous. they might as well have made it out of black steel. it would have looked just as good and the dial is actually quite good, just executed incorrectly IMO.

Hi Tony, Great to see that you have made it to Basel
For some time now, Rado has been playing with various version of diamond or diamond-like materials to accentuate its image as the maker of watches out of super hard materials.
I remember that in 2004 I was really looking forward to the V10K, but somewhat disappointed when I put it on the wrist as it looked and felt like a digital watch.
I applaud Rado's effort in innovation. It's definitely interesting looking.
