...is particularly special, having regard to the orientation of the numerals. This is perhaps the only one without radially aligned numerals - not that any version of the Observatoire isn't compelling - and probably one of the few which combines sunburst guilloche with Arabics. A very intelligent specification by the fortunate owner - congratulations again.
Thanks for the coverage Z3, and all the best for your time as a moderator.
Cheers,
pplater.
The Observatoire is very beautiful and there are so many small details everywhere. The group really enjoyed examining it.
Jon,
Congratulations and Good Luck for jumping in at the deep end with the Perpetually PuristS 2009 as your 1st event as moderator-at-large.
Perhaps there will be a bigger turn out when NYC recovers from the flu and financial ruin!
Regards,
MTF
The New Yorkers are holding on...
Looking forward to the grand Perpetually Purists 2010!=)
I hope to make it next time.
Congratulations on becoming moderator!
It was great running into you last week. Hopefully 2/28 next year would not fall on the weekend...

=)
Jon
Thanks for the kind words.
Jon
I sure miss the NYC group. Chicago is a very nice place, but in terms of horological interest, it is pretty dull. I may have to start a Chicago PuristS group at some pont.
Best,
Mitch
