Horological Meandering

I came to this forum because I need an advise. I bought the first Leman 2360 (the one without diamonds) for my wife in December 2005. That watch stopped after two weeks. The shop exchanged it for another - that watch stopped 24 hours later. The watchmaker in the shop examined both watches and came to conclusion that there was nothing he could do. We've got a refund and the same day I bought the third watch straight from the Blaincpain shop. This watch stopped the next day. After that it took about a months before my wife got a fourth watch. This stopped too and we decided to forget about it. Unfortunately, in June we went to look for the watch again. My wife looked through many collections and decided that the only watch she likes is, yes, 2360. She likes practical watches and the 2360 is not only beautiful but also has many functions. We bought that watch on condition that if it stops in two weeks we will have a refund. But the watch did not stop and my wife was happy despite the fact that it added one minute each one-two days. Half a year later in December to our complete dismay, the watch stopped and continued doing it every 12-14 hours. Does anybody come accross a problem like this? What could we do? Could it have something to do with the fact that we fly a lot? Does anybody know a watch that would be a women's watch, that would have just as many functions and be beautiful and all that preferably at no more than the price of 2360? Just in case you want to know, we bought all watches in the best shops.

. . .that's nothing short of bizarre.  Er, I don't suppose the Mrs. is a radiologist and works near an MRI machine or something. . . ????

Hm, a woman's watch, complete calendar w/moonphase- honestly I can't think of one off the top of my head.  I see quite a few lovely triple date moonphase vintage watches though- although I have a feeling vintage might not appeal especially if she likes the diamond bezel.

I ask this because it sounds like really bad luck or there is something in the environment or handling (i.e., wearing it while golfing or playing sports). It could be as simple as being magnetizing (already mentioned). I had a flyback stop after receipt, but it was a simple repair and never failed after that.

Could it be something simple like: 
magnetic pads at checkout counters?
magnetic clasps on wallet, purse, handbag?
audio speakers in car door, next to wrist height?

I can relate to this.  I had the unfortunate experience of owning 4 newly released limited editions of an IWC F.A. Jones.  None of them worked.....all stopped running after only a few hours.  All were returned to IWC for service, but not one of them ever worked properly after service.  I was totally frustrated.  In the end, the Dealers from which I purchased them offered me credits or refunds and I moved on to another manufacturer.  

Could there be something in the female gene pool that causes these problems????!!! (asked with sarcasm by a female watch enthusiast).

I have various other mechanical watches which have not yet been disasters (knock on wood).

My wife recently wiped out all of her credit cards due to a strong magnet holding her purse closed. I bought her the purse as a birthday present, so of course it is all my fault.

A "special" celular phone, some other electronic device... ???

... to magnetize a watch's hairspring. Well, a taser maybe .... However, the troubles must be more than bare magnetism, since a watch can be easily demagnetised, and should work flawlessly then. Finally, I have heard of mechanical watches running wrong by a gross degree, due to megnetism, but not to stop altogether. My wife happened to come near a 3 Tesla MRI, which immediately destroyed all her bank cards and the cell phone SIM, but her mechanical watch came out completely unharmed.
