Here's a couple I've been enjoying over the past few years. The Club ref. 701 in the last pic is their most affordable model, but also the one I love the most - it's like a modern Bubbleback with an added those of quirkiness. Hand-wound, 100m water resistance, robust case design. Overal, I love the brand for the aesthetic consistency, value-for-money, and down-to-earth approach without fancy parties, ambassadors, et cetera. Got NOMOS? I'd love to see yours posted below!
It is one of my favourite watches for sure. Affordable, relevant, and cool. 36mm of hand-wound delight. As said it reminds me of watches like the Bubbleback. But also the beef-lug Seamaster of the 1950's - watches that pair elegant dials with robust cases. For me, the Tangente took some more time to get used to, but I've truly come to love it's dead-straight lines. Go get the Club 701 / 703 Nicolas, you won't regret it!
I like the barok Swiss watches. History, Jugendstil, art deco, belle epoque. Down to earth is not my way of looking at watches. Breath history, a watchmakers story, that are my things.
Value for money is out of the question. I like to pay for a brand name, and no problem to pay extra for Rolex if i have the opportunity to get a Rolex.
Watches are for me a game to build up an impressive collection of what i think, this is tru Swiss art.
But if others like Nomos, ALS, Sinn, or Junghans. Ok.
Baroque have that elite intellectual behavior. More for history lovers. Bringing new innovations into heritage is for me so beautiful into watches.
Cold design is for me a no go. Warm design is a watch where the stainless steel case have a warm glow, an old book, and a campfire. A stainless steel Rolex Day-date with a rodium dial is just that watch that carry all i get from, a warm autumn evening.
Thanks, the good thing about these Nomos steel bracelets is the quick release system that allows to easily change between the bracelet and a leather strap....without tools. [nt]
