My new too me Rolex Sub 6204 Homage
Now if this isn’t allowed I apologize in advance.
That being said I’m not on here as much for mostly two reasons
Reason one I don’t feel like I’m worthy of your time because I’m not what you’d call a “Purists” no pun intended. And two I tend to buy watches some ok, most wouldn’t buy. I have no problem saying I like Certain affordable brands and especially (Invicta) yes I am aware of the stigma and negativity they receive but what some don’t get is they see Invicta and automatically assumed they make huge 60mm+ watches yes that’s true not gonna deny it. But then they come out with a watch and I say huh 🤔 that actually does not look that bad. Of course most of these wearable timepieces are usually Vintage or vintage looking or in this case an homage of a famous model from another company. Which brings me to my new Invicta Pro Diver 1953 (Rolex 6204) homage. I did remove the bracelet due to the hollow end links currently have it on a two tone black and gray nato hoping to had a better bracelet and or a gold and black one piece nato down the road. Anyway thanks for taking the time and let me know what you think.

I have no problem with whatever watches you or anyone else buys.
Whether they are Invicta, Rolex, Greubel or whatever.
My personal disdain for Invicta comes from the fact that they only make Watches its designs blatantly copied from others (without attribution or acknowledgement).
We are currently fortunate to live in the time where micro brands are exploding. I would rather see folks put their “Invicta money” towards those.
Having said that, if you really love this piece and it stirs your “Horology juices” - ROCK ON 🤘

I agree there are a lot of micro brands coming out and some look like they can give these bigger brands a run for their money. I’ve been buying Invicta off and on for a few yrs they were what got me started in this hobby. The thing about Invicta is they did get a lot of Us affordable collectors in the door. Some of what they make are nice enough to wear without feeling ashamed while others well if your gonna buy it just don’t wear it during the day.

Nice piece. I love the nato strap which really gives this piece a 1953s feeling.
Everyone has copied this design, so i guess this one is fine. Enjoy your watch!

I wasn’t sure the black and gray would work.
Only thing I don’t like about the watch is there’s no lume on the seconds hand. So I figured with a black and gold nato it would make it pop more.

Steinhart copy the IWC big pilot, and this is not done.
IWC Schaffhausen is a special watch maison, who made watches for enthusiasts.
They are expensive, and made for generations to come.
I would not blame the watch enthusiast wearing a watch that is a copy of an icon, but why not save money for a dream watch?
If you want a Rolex, work for it, save money, and on one day it is a dream come tru when you fitting a date just. This watch goes to generations, father to son, and so on.

It’s not that simple the time I save for that watch most likely not a Rolex but more like the (Grand Seiko SBGE201) yes not a Rolex. Where was I oh yeah the time I save for said watch I’d already be thinking of another. So to me buying an homage at under $100 fills my needs till I get that dream watch hopefully that GS SBGE201 why that over a GMT Master ii or Sub? Simple I just like the look of the GS and movement more.

Dont know anything about this brand but for 100 usd if you get an automatic and 200 mtr WR you cant go wrong i think !
But i do agree with previous comments please let this be your only watch for years to come and save up for ` the real thing you want ` which will be so much more gratifying for you !!
But that rotor could do without USA product design …… the design was done by someone else more than 60 years ago.
