Radium glow
By: jml_watches : January 25th, 2020-14:48
Shot of my Vulcain Cricket in the soft glow of energy saving bulbs
The RA is for radium so a an early sixties watch. I didn't notice this until a few years after buying it - it's all about the small details. Cheers JML

From what I've been able to find out yes, but was being phased out.
By: jml_watches : January 27th, 2020-13:53
Did a quick search & one of links suggested that by 70s its use had stopped.
Only realised that watch was likely to have radium dial when noticed the RA either side of the Swiss Made and tried to find out what it meant.
Cheers
JML

I vaguely remember it was phased out before the mid '60's. Could be mistaken. (nt)
