Funny you ask, I am actually looking to sell the Saxonia because I want a Lange 1 Moonphase or another moonphase.
I tried the gator strap, I think it is okay, but I felt the case did not line up with the band as well as it does with the bracelet. Yet to try the rubber.
I can't see the watch being a full dress watch though, I am tending to wear it on the bracelet mostly cause I love the finishing, subtle, elegant, but well done.

You have a great point with the gator strap. I dont like it either. However, if you really need a dress watch, the vc is not enough. Sorry to hear that the Saxonia is not your perfect watch. ALS heritage and finishing is amazing but this does not make a watch a good choice. The MP is a great choice but would need a big trade up. Maybe the Saxonia MP? Bad movement, great price, amazing moonphase...

I am considering a used Lange 1 Grande MP, in the near future. Would require me to let go of the Saxonia, JLC Gold Master Geographic, and put up some cash.
May sell a reverso, I have two, 1931 Choc and Grand Duo Date. The Date might be a harder sell because of its big size. I have time.

Am quite smitten with the JLC Enamel MP also, yes overpriced, but I like that many people would be put off by the cost and it would be pretty exclusive with only 100 pieces.

Even though i would go for the regular L1 MP for its better balanced dial. However, the grande L1 is seen less often what you (and i) seem to like. However, please dont sell the tt 1931. ;-) This watch is just to good to let it go.

Different sectors
Although the Saxonia (precious metal, leather strap, more dress watch) and the VC (steel, multiple straps, sports watch) I can understand Reuven’s question; do you wear the Sax often enough.
Not because it’s potentially a safe queen watch but purely because the VC can be worn with any occasion. Or as Reuven put it: so versatile.
The Sax is a great watch but I can understand why you want to trade it for something that differs but more from the VC you own

I don’t wear it enough but because I think I want another dress watch, and want to sell it to put the funds against a new dress watch.
The VC is versatile, to a certain extent (3 straps), after I tried the gator strap on, I just could not see myself pull it off as a dress watch. I tend to reach for a reverso, or the like.
