You will be very surprised with what I’m about to reveal...
As I’m very very new at this, I do not have any special or specialised macro photography equipment.
Yes, it’s very tough to get good shots... notwithstanding steady hands as I do not have a tripod too 😂
1. A fairly good light source, either soft or intense. I’m using my daughter’s desk/study lamp ~40watts for soft overtones lighting.
2. As, I do not have a macro lens for the camera, I’m just using my old iPhone 5 but coupled with a loupe! 🤣
3. Getting the light angled just right, and getting the distance between phone, loupe and object will be tricky. However, you’ll get the hang of things after several tries 😃
4. Playing with the phone camera zoom function and loupe brings some interesting photos!

I like the composition of this particular photo entitled “Double, double toil and trouble” in reflection to the current “bubble” of grey market (watch) pieces. Not in particular of Rolex but many other brands as well.
