Watches with moon phases for the Southern Hemisphere? Any suggestions?
Hey guys (and girls)
I’ve been thinking about adding a watch with a proper moonphase to my collection.
Unfortunately, as I live in Australia, I would like one with a moon wheel which runs for the Southern Hemisphere.
All watches I’ve found to date are designed for the northern hemisphere.
Any suggestions from the experts here for a watch with a Southern Hemisphere moonphase would be most appreciated.

Southern moon indication
I have been making "correct' moon indication for the Southern Hemisphere since 1990. These were all in clocks as that is what I was commissioned to make at the time.
I will soon be releasing three new watch models, two of which will be released in the next few weeks, neither of these will have a Lunar display but it certainly could be added to a new version, naturally made for the hemisphere in which the owner lives.
I will not be using standard factory movements. I am using a heavily modified vintage, Swiss movt. for one watch and the train from premium high grade, American made vintage watch for the other watch.
This will be the first "Made in California" watch and the second all "Made in USA" watch for many years.

I wonder why this won't work?
I'll have to give some thought to the theory of displaying the phase in the Southern Hemisphere, but this one goes sideways ... thus not up/down like some.

Sarpaneva sells most of his timepieces directly to his end clients. And because of this, he is happy to customize his watches. Sometimes this results in fairly unique, one-off models. The Korona Doublemoon ... Sarpaneva had recently created a “double” moon phase based on the modifications he makes to the automatic Soprod A1 base. The “double” comes from the fact that the dial shows mirror images of the moon phase: the aperture at the top of the dial is the phase in the Northern Hemisphere, while the aperture at the bottom of the dial displays the mirrored phase in the Southern Hemisphere. The modification also allows the moon phase to be set and adjusted by the crown, a degree of comfort that very, very few timepieces containing such a large degree of complication can provide."
