Yes, the Movado Group finally came to my price for an Ebel 1911 BTR Perpetual Calendar Chronograph. The caliber 288 is a specially finished Lemania-based Ebel chronograph with a Dubois-Dépraz perpetual calendar module.
Somebody remind me to correct the leap year in 2100.

Ebel did a good job distinguishing the chronograph hands from the time and calendar hands. But it does require an extra diopter or two in the bifocals for the calendar hands.

Ah, yes, the 100th anniversary model.
One of few I don’t have from Ebel, although I do have the other limited-edition centennial model.
I love the old logo.
This is my third BTR—I also own the 9137L73 with rubber bezel, and the 9139L72 with the central-minutes dial and a steel bezel with an engraved Tachymeter. None with silver dials, alas.

I loved all of them. The IWC because of its Rattrapante Chrono, the JLC because of its modern art look and 8 Days movement, the Ulysse Nardin because you could set the calendar forward and backward...
Through the crown, and the Blancpain because it was outstanding.
Now, if I had to pick one among these 4... It would be the JLC.

He he he... I did, alas. The JLC because it was too close to my Master Minute Repeater, the U.N because it was too close to my Sonata, the Blancpain because I had to service it twice, and the IWC I was scammed. [nt]

Alas, they no longer do.
The BTR experiment did not succeed for them, sad to say.
But their chronograph movement lives on. They sold the movement, tooling, and half a dozen specialty technicians to Ulysse Nardin in 2012, and it lives on as the UN150 family.
And the Breguet 582 family is very closely related.
Ebel’s current chronograph is much downmarket from the BTR line, and is powered using an ETA 2894. It’s a nice looking watch, but it’s not a grand complications chronograph.
I bought this watch as new from the Movado Group, and it comes with a full warranty. But it is best described as old stock.
