So I just bought a Hamilton khaki field, I bought it new on gray market so I suppose I could have been sitting for some time. Anyway my question is, when the crown is seated and I apply very gentle pressure in winding direction I can see the rotor move slightly, should I worry? Also I wouldn't think the watch being new it would need a "full" service should I just have the winding mech. Lubed? Thanks for any feedback
Welcome. Can you share a picture of your specific watch?
The winding/setting works on some ETA movements can be finicky. It’s not uncommon for the rotor to move when you wind it. Wind it, push in the crown and wear it for a few weeks. If it still bothers, please report back to us.
In my opinion, you don’t need lube on those parts.
