ROLEX GMT MASTER REF 1675
Here is how it looks when I got it.
So I have to get some fresh parts.
The classic Pepsi insert.
A bright white dial.
With Super Luminova.
It says 1675 inside the backcase.
Some case views.
There have been some marks and dings over the years.
So lets get to work.
Not so sharp relume.
So I start with some fine sandpaper.
And after that I use a polishing machine.
So we have to pull off the rotor.
Now it looks like a manual winding movement.
So the dial have to leave the movement.
Notice at the date wheel all 6´s ans 9´s except the 26 are open.
Streange, no. It´s just so confusing Rolex works.
I´m just curious.
First hand in place.
And next.
All 4 hands in place.
It looks like he have place them correct.
So how will the final work looks?
I hope you enjoy the journey.
Jocke
. The close 6 in 26 must be a cryptic message, a secret message from Rolex to the world ...
I noticed the threads on the tube is a little wear out.
So I have to check what I've got in my drawer.
I guess those will fits.
So I have to pull out some tools.
Put the watch in the case holder.
Open it up.
No ETA inside. LOL
So I start with the crown.
There we go.
Next will be the movement.
Luminova servicedial with SWISS-T<25.
The tube tool.
Now it's out from the case.
The new tube is in place.
The o-ring is in place.
I will use the old axle.
Here it is in place.
Testing, testing.
The movement in place.
A new fresh o-ring.
Nice with fresh threads.
And the coronet.
