I've spent the last few years accumulating a small collection (10-15) of my favourite automatic movement. This is the elusive Favre Leuba cal. 269.
I love double-barrels coupled in parallel. Like it's cousin the ubiquitous, manually wound FL25x, these are very slim, but without the issues of comparable double barrel automatics (e.g. the Lemania 8810's fragility and hand winding problems). In addition, these 269s have a full balance bridge and are super tough.
As far as I know, these FL269s were only made for a year or two in the late 60s. They're incredibly hard to find.
I had some project ideas in mind that I wanted to pursue, but they didn't come to fruition. It would be a dream to see these in a super slim diver.
Of course I could just sell them outright, but I strongly prefer not to. I'd like to see them go into an interesting project. So what can be done with them?
