Hello all, thank you in advance, I am purchasing a watch (about to pay for through pay pal) and it was for sale on E B*y. I know the rule around here, buy the seller not the watch. I don't know the seller at all and he has not sold anything for quite some time. This watch would be purchased through Paypal and I know that offers some protection. To be clear, this watch is NOT OFFERED FOR SALE ANYWHERE. I know the rule on shilling. I also know this is not a standard watch you see on this site, however I value all your opinions and think this is the best watch site out there with some of the most knowledgeable members. Input please? I did learn a trick when selling a watch here when the buyer asked me to set the watch on a specific time, I asked he set at 4:21 which he did and promptly sent the following pic back. Here are the original listing pics and description, followed by my request of the watch set on a time and the original receipt. Please help me anyway you can, this is a bigger purchase for me at this stage in my life and I like the watch. Thank you in advance. Ben

Most new model watch sales on Ebay are legitimate. I have bought a few watches from the site and haven't had any problems. I think the problems are more prevalent with vintage watches in which it is difficult to determine if all parts are original and it is a little easier to sell counterfeit older watches. I only buy stuff on Ebay, watches or other goods, from sellers that have 100% satisfaction rating and have quite a few sales so there is a good history. Obviously you are always taking some risk buying online but with good pictures and good background on seller you should be fine. Good luck. Nice watch.

Maybe ask the seller if you can fly to where he's located and then do the exchange in person at the bank. See how he responds to this.
If he feels a little awkward about this, then I would suggest passing.
Other than that, seller seems to have verified that he does have the watch in possession from the "take a pic of watch at this time" request. Now I hope it's not one of those good counterfeits from China. Only way to tell is to look at the movement itself...
Good luck with this transaction if you do decide to move forward!
Cheers,
Anthony
