I was quite disappointed when I saw the HMX, to be honest...
Is it just me or does iPhone 5C come to mind?
- similar to an existing product
- cheaper/watered down variant
- comes in colours
Coincidentally, the HMX's display window does look like its got 2 SIM cards in it, doesn't it? Haha.
I too am not a fan of the Sellita movement used for this piece. The legibility seems improved as compared to the HM5, which is a big plus. I felt the position of the hours and minutes were a little awkward on the HM5.
However, I can't help but feel they could have done so much more to the display window. Would be nice to see more than 2 SIM cards...

For me, I only have an LM so this may be a good HM for me. But I must admit compared to the other HMs, especially the HM5, there is no denying the HMX is made to be a lower price variant for sure

It was fun to attend another MB&F Function
I flew up from Sydney again to attend the launch and enjoyed the company of the friends I made last time. My understanding is that this is a one off concept. My view is that the HMX is exactly what it is meant to be a piece of fun. You cannot compare it to the other machines. HM5 owners should be not concerned as the two watches are completely different especially in terms of quality.
