I was hoping someone may have more recent news. Communication from Volker or his brother has been nonexistent since then to my knowledge.

I almost put an order for one VV back then but changed my mind at the last second and went for KV…
At that time KV was also un "unknown quantity"…
I believe some went for both.
Finally heard from Volker....
Unfortunately, he has had significant health problems for a couple of years. Resulted in financial distress as well.
At any rate, he states he has now recovered and back on track to complete the initial batch of watches.
When delivered those who waited for the duration will certainly have a watch that will be "the longest in the making"
category winner! And hopefully, a masterpiece.

Yes, quite an experience....
As one of the original group of 5 (or 6) investors (a term I prefer to purchaser given the vagaries of production) I had lost contact and about given up on him but recently I reconnected with Volker (my spam filter was returning his emails). Hope springs eternal, as the saying goes, and I am now hopeful of seeing a watch eventually (if my lifespan is compatible). It will be treasured all the more given the difficulties in acquisition.

that the watch collectors have great patience. Most people will just ask for a refund.
That would be far too reasonable...
