I scroll the purists' site every day but I must be "comment adverse". However I thought I'd upload pictures of my new aquistion, as best that I can.
I became aware of the brand when I was in browsing in London a couple of years back, I had seen the Mayu at one of the AD. The pieces interested me but hadn't grasped my full attention. However late last year on another browse, I spotted most of the full range at another AD. This time I decided to try on a few pieces. I fell in love with the subtle simplicity, especially the indented curves on the sides of the watch, the grey dial, non mass production and the date numbers.
Further research into the brand afterwards convinced me I wasn't making a rash decision to regret later. Another trip to the AD and eventually I settled on the date model in platinum. I wear the watch on the weekends and I'm still in love with the looks, it just oozes class. I also like the long power reserve, in comparison to the shorter power reserve of automatics. Only small concern I have is the buckle. The machined cuts on the back of the buckle are sharp, already the leather strap is showing signs of wear as the edges dig into it.
Anyway, I hope to add more comments in 2013 to the fantastic articles and photos written by the moderators and the rest of you. It is great for the likes of myself who has and is addicted to watches my whole life, but rely on the articles etc to expand my basic knowledge. I must learn how to upload full width pictures, apolgies

date mechanism is the same as is in the Perpetual, both look identical but obvosly its a the 3 o'clock. I'm sure someone will know. The date changes with a quick and noticeable click sound too. It can be set to the date by going back or forwards, a nice touch. Glad you liked it, i will post many more comments.

helped me on the way to my decision. The Perpetual was too expensive for me but all of the details I liked were there to be seen on that model too and thanks to the perfect pictures, even better than what I had remebered at the AD.

you can see the matting already on the strap between the 2nd and third punch hole. I couldn't have worn it more than 2 weeks all added up together. The thread is beginning to ravel ever so slightly too. The buckle angle is not rounded on either side and digs into the strap. Its not that i wear the watch tight, its free to move on my wrist. Guess I'll just be ordering a spare just in case it goes.
