Dear The Purist, 

I had the chance to bid on the upside down watch and I won the bid.
I am really happy that i will get the watch maybe in 1 month time since i ask for the consolidated shipment to HongKong to avoid any taxes.

What are your thought about this watch, because personally i have not encounter one in person.
For the owner of this watch can i please see some picture on the wrist.  
I really like the funny movement and this will be my second independent watchmaker after Habring.

I have seen this watch in PT, RG, and WG, and I like all of the variants.  The movement is very clever (and beautiful, in my view), and it is a fun complication as well.

I think that it might take a bit of time to get used to reading the dial and seeing the little dot that leads your eye to the "rightside up" hour, but with some practice that should get easier.

A friend of mine who owns this watch wrote the other day that he is often distracted as the changing hour arrives so that he can watch the movement "do its trick!"  If this is the worst thing that can be said about this watch, that's pretty good.

Finally, Ludovic and Masa are both really good guys, which as you know makes a big difference when working with independents.  It is all about the people!

Adi, are you talking about the Christie's auction held in NY last Wednesday?

Guess what?  I was the second highest bidder, at $21k, which I placed as an absentee bid.  I was actually flying on my way back from LA to HK and missed the opportunity to call in for a phone bid.  I was quite devastated when I realized I lost as I couldn't be there to place my bid live.

Anyway, it is one hell of a watch, and despite my loss, I want to congratulate you and I am certain that it will bring you lots of joy.

By the way, if one day you decide to let go of it, shoot me a message.  I may still be in the hunt for my Upside Down.

May i ask which version did you win on, the Pt?

While i do not own it, i held one of the very 1st prototypes and i will say that it is a very unique watch, although not exactly offering what i demand for in a wristwatch.

i just cant believe that someone would spend the money required on what i consider to be a superb piece and then send it to auction so soon. it cant be any more than a year old if that.

Hi Ludovic,

its a great honour for me to be replied by you the watch maker. I was fascinated by the complication, as i always like watch that tells time diferrently.
I actually wanted to get an urwerk for my second independent watch but after seing your watch i fell in love and when i saw it in the auction i just had to get your watch.

I will be in paris this september if i can find a spare time i would love to go to geneva to see your workshop.

Dear Ludovic,

I try to go to your website and i wanted to email you regarding the strap size. 
Since my watch was ship without the strap due to the exportation law in USA and I will only be getting it when i go to USA this December.
Can you please give me the watch size at the lug as well in the buckle so i can source emergency watch strap until i get my strap in december,
