As you may know I'm a huge fan of Sarpaneva's work and am alwasy eagerly awaiting to see what he will bring out next.
He has not disapointed
He is launching a new Korona K2 Kaamos (which is Finnish for Polar Nights aka the depressing period where the sun doesn't shine!!)
It is a steel K2 (Korona case with date) in black nickel coated case and luminous hands and indexes.
This look gives the watch an really mysterious feel. Can't wait to see it in the metal.
It should be shown at Belles Montres in Paris so please Parisian Purists please post some scans

interesting beauty and lets see how charming it is in metal...

Several examples spring to mind. Here, the BR 'Phantom', shots by Kong -
The Sinn U1 All Black LE -
But most notably, it is used to stealthy effect in this very important watch, here shot by Anthony Tsai -
...and in this fantastic 'dark shot' by SteveG (hope that's OK Steve!).
Cheers,
pplater.
only WISH it was 46 or 47mm.
i tired one on , because the whole thing is Black and looked way too small for my Taste.
Cheers
Hi Amery,
As pplater posted. Black lume does exist, but as you will see in the photos, the dark pigment in the material results in a rather poor amount of glow. On the black U1, I think it's a terrible idea (a dive watch with illegible dial?) but on the Sarpaneva...it looks fantastic.
