..would it be rude to enquire now whether the owner has specified any particular colour for the chapter ring? The 'norm' would be white or cream, but that darker enamel finish could also be very handsome coupled with, say, an antique gold surround, for example. Whatever, this is shaping up to be a fantastic piece unique. Thank you for the insight.
