I have been following the purists and particularly this board for quite some time. The result is this MBF#1 WG. Thanks to all the comments on this watch, and esp. Dr. Bernard Cheong for his inspiration.
Now, I am considering Vianney Halter Antigua WG and cannot make up my mind whether I should go with WG or RG dial. Would appreciate comments from fellow purists. Thank you very much. Win
was always brass on brass i.e. RG on RG.
But as Don said, I've not seen a WG on WG Antiqua.
So, if you want to keep with Vianney's original tribute to Jules Verne, get the RG/RG.
For an unusual Antiqua, get WG/WG.
If you must have mixed: RG dials are unusual, so even a RG dial on WG case is a good combo.
Regards,
MTF
The watch will look super, and it will give you a contrast piece to go with the B&W look of the MBF!!!
More..the RG dial with the WG antiqua, makes the watch look as if it has that very Jules Verne feel!
The rivets should be in RG!!!
