The DB28 is a special watch that has fallen from grace in my opinion.
Wearing mine today! I think the mainstream is busy counting angles atm so the spotlight has moved which sounds good to me, I still feel like there's still a blue DB missing from my collection
These movements are indeed stunning - especially those that include blued titanium and De Bethune's distinctive engraving.
However, I do find it impossible to unsee the Star Trek Federation insignia.

I agree - the shape is seductive, regardless of any associations.
Not sure what kind of leaf it resembles, though. In any case, I don't think there is anything else like it in the world of horology right now. (Maybe, to a slight degree, the case shape of the original 1950s Hamilton Ventura, but that's less streamlined and graceful.)

I know the tulip tree well (retired landscape architect, used to spec them often in designs). I somehow failed to ever notice the way the leaves curl once they fall. Great inspiration!
In really enjoyed watching the De Bethune episode of Wei Koh’s TV documentary series - Man of the Hour
The DB25 Starry Varius GMT was my personal choice a few years back. Still loving it today.
